Bangladesh is a vast plain of many rivers which are arteries through which much of the life of the country
pulses. The names of the rivers: Jamuna, Ganga, Padma, Meghna and many more add to the mystic of
a world largely untouched by time.

The rivers are a place of heavy labor and toil but they are also great repositories of ever-changing light, particularly in the early morning when the subtle mists bring enrichment, sometimes scattering radiance, sometimes creating mystery. Early morning light, for a short time, changes everything on and along the rivers: the fishing nets, the boats, the fishermen, the bathers and the laborers.
