Photographing in Europe and the Middle East, I have been pulled towards the cathedrals, monasteries and churches that were originally constructed and decorated in the 12th, 13th and 14th centuries. Those centuries were a fertile, fervent period, a time of great symbolic vision, reflected in the extraordinary frescoes, stone and glass of church art.
